Privacy Policy

VoTriX is an accessibility app that transcribes and translates speech into text, for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or facing a foreign language. We respect your privacy and collect only the minimum necessary.

1. Who we are

VoTriX is developed by Rolaxit Innovation SRL — the data controller for the purposes of the GDPR.

2. The microphone and how we use it

The app uses the microphone solely to capture speech and turn it into text on your screen. During a call, the watch microphone picks up the voice from the speaker and sends it to the phone over the local network (WiFi). We do not listen or record in the background.

3. Voice processing — local vs. Server

• On-device mode (default): transcription and translation happen entirely on the phone. Audio never leaves your device.
• Server mode (Intense plan): audio is sent transiently to our server (api.votrix.eu) only for the duration of transcription + translation, then discarded. We do not store audio and we do not store the conversation text. We keep only a technical log of duration (seconds) and time, for maintenance and abuse prevention.

4. Data we collect

• Email — to send you the license code and for support.
• Activation code and device identifier (ANDROID_ID) — to bind the license to a single phone (anti-piracy).
• Usage data — duration of transcribed utterances (no content), for aggregate statistics.
• Server logs — IP addresses and requests, for security and aggregate visit statistics (limited retention).

We do not collect contacts, location, photo gallery, or other data not needed to run the service.

5. Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Card data is handled directly by Stripe — we never see or store your card. We keep only your email and the fact that the license was paid.

6. Third-party services

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Brevo — sending emails (activation code, notifications).
• Google Analytics — aggregate statistics about website usage (not the app), only with your consent; IP is anonymized.
• Google Play Integrity (if enabled) — verifying the app is genuine and unmodified.

Cookies: the votrix.eu website uses analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only if you accept them via the banner shown on your first visit. You can decline — the site works exactly the same. The mobile app does not use Google Analytics.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep account data while the license is active. Inactive accounts and old logs are cleaned up periodically. You can request deletion by writing to office@rolaxit.com.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, and port your data. Contact us anytime at office@rolaxit.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Romania, ANSPDCP).

9. Children

VoTriX is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the new version will be posted here with its update date.

11. We do not sell your data

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone. We do not use ads.
