VoTriX turns speech into on-screen text and translates it — face to face or during a phone call. Here's everything you need, step by step.
1. Install and activate
- On votrix.eu pick a product and tap "Try 24h free" (or "Buy").
- Enter your email → you instantly get (and by email) the activation code (VTRX-XXXX-XXXX) and the download links.
- Download and install the phone app (Android). When installing from a file, allow "Install from unknown sources" for the browser you use.
- Optionally install the watch app (Wear OS) — needed only for captioning during calls. We can help you install it on the watch.
- Open VoTriX on the phone and enter the code. It binds to this phone (one device per license).
💡 Don't reinstall after buying — you use the same app, just enter the new code.
2. Face-to-face conversation
When you're not on a call (talking to someone next to you):
- Open VoTriX and tap Listen.
- The phone microphone listens to the other person.
- What they say appears as text on screen, translated into your language, in real time.
3. During a call (watch = microphone)
During a call, Android blocks the microphone for apps. That's why the watch becomes the microphone: it isn't "on the call", so it can hear the voice from the phone speaker.
- Make sure the watch app is running (it carries the audio).
- When you receive/make a call, the "Caption this call" notification appears — tap it (or open VoTriX).
- VoTriX puts the call on speaker, at high volume.
- The watch hears the speaker through the air and sends it to the phone over WiFi.
- The text appears on screen, translated.
⚠️ If the watch app is closed, in-call captioning won't start. Keep it running before the call.
4. The watch app
- Role: microphone during a call. You don't need the watch for face-to-face conversations.
- Start it before the call and leave it running.
- Connection: the phone and watch talk over WiFi. On the street (no WiFi), turn on the phone hotspot and connect the watch to it — once.
5. Languages and modes

Your language (the one you want to read) is set in the app. The other person's language is detected automatically — no need to set it, even if it changes mid-conversation.
6. Replying (reverse channel)
You can reply too: type a message in the app → VoTriX translates it into the other person's language → and speaks it aloud on the phone speaker. On a call, the other person hears it through the call microphone.
7. Tips and common issues
- Microphone rule: on a call → the watch mic; face to face (tap Listen) → the phone mic. No settings.
- No text during a call? Check: is the watch on? is the call on speaker? is the watch connected (WiFi/hotspot)?
- "They can't hear me" (reverse channel)? Keep the phone on speaker — the VoTriX voice couples into the call microphone.
- Wrong language shown? Speak clearly for a few seconds — detection stabilizes on its own.
8. Your license
- Free 24h trial, no card. One trial per phone.
- After 24h, the app asks for a license → tap "Buy", pay once and keep it permanently.
