VoTriX turns speech into on-screen text and translates it in real time — for deaf and hard-of-hearing people, and for anyone bridging a language gap. It's a small family of apps: pick the one that matches your situation.

1. Which VoTriX do I need?

Each product solves a different situation. You can own more than one.

💡 Not sure? For everyday personal use, start with VoTriX on your phone. For two people talking, use Share. For a group, use Teams.

2. How it works: modes & credits

Two ways to process speech

Credits (for Server use)

On-device use is unlimited. Server use (the browser products, and Server mode on the phone) runs on prepaid credit hours:

• You buy a product once (it unlocks the app), then top up hours as needed: 5h, 20h, 50h or 100h packs.
• Credit is measured by time connected (wall-clock of the session), counted while a session is live.
• Hours are valid for 30 days and used oldest-first.
• When your balance runs out, you get a notice and a short grace period, then the session closes. Top up and continue.

Testers and earlier customers keep unlimited access — no metering applies to them.

3. VoTriX on your phone & watch

Install and activate

1. On votrix.eu pick a product and tap "Try 24h free" (or "Buy").
2. Enter your email → you instantly get (and by email) the activation code (VTRX-XXXX-XXXX) and the download links.
3. Install the phone app (Android). When installing from a file, allow "Install from unknown sources" for the browser you use.
4. Optionally install the watch app (Wear OS) — needed only for captioning during phone calls.
5. Open VoTriX and enter the code. It binds to this phone (one device per license).

💡 Don't reinstall after buying — you use the same app, just enter the new code.

Face-to-face conversation

1. Open VoTriX and tap Listen.
2. The phone microphone listens to the other person.
3. What they say appears as text on screen, translated into your language, in real time.

Captioning during a normal call (watch = microphone)

During a call, Android blocks the microphone for apps. So the watch becomes the microphone: it isn't "on the call", so it can hear the voice coming from the phone speaker.

1. Make sure the watch app is running before the call.
2. On the call, tap the "Caption this call" notification (or open VoTriX).
3. VoTriX puts the call on speaker. The watch hears it through the air and sends it to the phone over WiFi.
4. The text appears on screen, translated.

⚠️ This is different from VoTriX Call (section 6). Here you caption a call made in your normal dialer. VoTriX Call places the call for you, with translation built in — no watch needed.

Replying (reverse channel)

You can reply too: type a message → VoTriX translates it into the other person's language → and speaks it aloud on the phone speaker. On a call, the other person hears it through the call microphone (keep the phone on speaker).

4. VoTriX Share — one to one

Two people, each on their own phone or computer, in a live translated conversation. Each person reads in their own language.

1. Open VoTriX Share — in the app, or in a browser at share.votrix.eu — and start a session.
2. Share the link or QR code with the other person. They open it (nothing to install for the browser version) and join.
3. Each person picks the language they want to read. Then just talk — each side sees the other translated, live.
4. Need to hand over a document? Use DoTriX (section 7).

💡 The browser version is the fastest way to include someone who doesn't have the app — just send them the link.

5. VoTriX Teams — one host, many guests

One host speaking to several people at once — a meeting, a front desk, a group. Every guest reads in their own language at the same time.

1. The host opens VoTriX Teams (app or teams.votrix.eu) and starts a session.
2. Guests join via the link or QR and each chooses their own language.
3. When the host speaks, every guest sees it translated into their language, live. Guests can reply too.
4. A document sent in the session reaches each guest translated into their own language (DoTriX).

6. VoTriX Call — translated phone calls

Place a real phone call that is translated live for both sides. Built for reaching people who only have an ordinary phone — no app needed on their end.

1. Open VoTriX Call at call.votrix.eu and enter your activation code (the delivery email opens the page with your code already loaded).
2. Enter the number to call and the two languages. Start the call.
3. Everything spoken is captioned and translated, live, in both directions.

Show your own number to the person you call (Verified Caller ID)

By default the person you call sees a VoTriX number. To have them see your number instead — so they recognise you and pick up — verify your number once:

1. In VoTriX Call, enter your phone number and tap Verify my number.
2. You'll get a short automated call; type the code shown on screen.
3. Done — from now on your calls display your own number. You only verify once.

⚠️ Call uses credit hours while the call is connected. Make sure you have a balance before a long call.

7. DoTriX — documents in the conversation

Inside a live Share, Call (with a web guest on screen) or Teams session, either side can send a form, a contract or a record — and each participant receives it translated into their own language, with the original layout kept exactly in place.

• It's an add-on: DoTriX comes as a prepaid pack of documents.
• Send the document during the session; each person gets their translated copy in seconds.
• Nothing is stored: documents are deleted when the conversation ends.

8. Languages

• On-device: ~59 languages, offline.
• Server: 200+ languages, top accuracy.
• Your language (the one you read) is set by you. The other person's language is detected automatically — no need to set it, even if it changes mid-conversation.

9. Tips & common issues

• Microphone rule (phone): on a normal call → the watch mic; face to face (tap Listen) → the phone mic. No settings.
• No text during a call? Is the watch on? Is the call on speaker? Is the watch connected (WiFi/hotspot)?
• "They can't hear my reply"? Keep the phone on speaker — the VoTriX voice couples into the call microphone.
• Guest can't join Share/Teams? Re-send the link/QR and check they're online; the browser version needs no install.
• Wrong language shown? Speak clearly for a few seconds — detection stabilizes on its own.
• Session ended unexpectedly? Your credit hours may have run out — top up and start again.

10. Credits & your license

• Free 24h trial, no card. One trial per phone.
• You buy a product once to unlock the app; on-device use is unlimited.
• Server use runs on prepaid credit hours (5/20/50/100-hour packs), valid 30 days, used oldest-first.
