VoTriX presented to Austrian MP Heike Eder, spokesperson for inclusion

Two people, two languages, one conversation — VoTriX shows what is said as live text
In short: we presented VoTriX in a live online demonstration to Heike Eder, Member of the Austrian National Council (Nationalrat) and her party’s spokesperson for inclusion and people with disabilities. The conversation was warm and engaged, VoTriX was shown live in Austrian German, the product was understood immediately — and we are now exploring together how to bring it to the Austrian community.
Who
Heike Eder, MP (Austrian Nationalrat), spokesperson for inclusion and people with disabilities
Format
Live online demonstration
Language
Austrian German
Presented by
Ruana Senopol, co-founder of VoTriX

A demonstration, not just slides

As co-founder, I led the demonstration myself. In a short live session, Heike Eder and her team could see exactly how VoTriX works: speech turned into readable text in real time, a typed reply spoken aloud to the other side, and translation across languages when needed — all shown in Austrian German, the language of the people she represents.

What matters most is that VoTriX is a complete, two-way conversation in the person’s own words — not one-way captioning, and with no third person speaking on their behalf. For the first time, a deaf or hard-of-hearing person can even make an ordinary phone call independently.

Looking ahead

The interest was sincere, and the exchange ended on a practical note: Heike Eder kindly pointed us toward ways to reach the Austrian community more easily. We are following up on those suggestions, and we would be glad to continue the conversation in person in Vienna. We are grateful for her time, her openness and her commitment to inclusion.
