VoTriX at the DSB assembly in Anklam: live captions, hands-on

One voice, a whole room — everyone follows live, each in their own language
In short: on 9–10 October 2026 we were in Anklam for the annual members’ assembly of the DSB state association of the hard of hearing and deafened of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. We presented VoTriX live and let members try it with their own hands — face-to-face captions, phone-call captions and translation. The reception was warm and the product was understood quickly.

From invitation to the real thing

Earlier this autumn the association invited us to their yearly gathering. This month we were finally there in person. Rather than slides, we brought a real demonstration: members could see, on an ordinary phone, what someone was saying appear instantly as text, read a phone call live, and watch a typed message spoken aloud.

What resonated

For people who live with hearing loss every day, the value was immediate and concrete — following a conversation at a counter or a meeting, and making a phone call without a barrier. We also showed that captioning can run directly on the phone, offline, so a conversation never has to leave the device.

Meeting the community in person — hearing what helps and what still gets in the way — is the best way to make VoTriX better. We are grateful to the DSB Mecklenburg-Vorpommern for the warm welcome in Anklam.
