VoTriX at MCI Innsbruck: accessible, multilingual communication for students

Two people, two languages, one conversation — VoTriX shows what is said as live text
In short: in an online meeting we presented VoTriX to the MCI Management Center Innsbruck, an international entrepreneurial university in Austria. The focus was practical: how live captions, voice and translation can support students with disabilities and a multilingual student body. The team tried the tool first-hand.

Why a university

A modern campus brings together students who are deaf or hard of hearing and students who speak many different languages. VoTriX speaks to both: it turns speech into readable text in real time, reads a reply aloud, and translates across 200+ languages — so a lecture, a consultation at the student office, or a conversation between people who don’t share a language becomes easier to follow.

A hands-on presentation

In an online session, we showed VoTriX live, and the MCI team tried it for themselves. Our aim was simple: to show clearly and concretely how accessible, multilingual communication can work in everyday university life — for students with disabilities and for an international campus alike. The presentation was given by VoTriX co-founders Ruana Senopol, Virgil Senopol and Gheorghe Rusu.
